LEMONT, Ill. — Charlie Wi had some choice words for Canadian lefty Mike Weir after finishing the second round of the BMW Championship in a tie for the lead.

The South Korean golfer got defensive when asked about swing coaches Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett, who Weir and other pros such as Aaron Baddeley have stopped working with in recent years.

Wi remains loyal to the instructors that are best known for the “Stack & Tilt” style of swing.

“…Mike Weir — he was also one of the worst ball-strikers on tour, and he won two times with Andy and Mike and made $6 million in two seasons, and he thought that wasn’t good enough. If you look at it, they’re (Weir, Baddeley) not here this week. So maybe they should be working with Andy and Mike.”
