CHANDLER, Ariz. – Brad Fritsch finished in a tie for eighth place on the final day of the Web.com Tour qualifying school Sunday while fellow Canadian Michael Gligic tied for 13th.
Abin Choi of Toronto tied for 34th place.
Fritsch, from Manotick, Ont., secured entry into the first 12 events of the 2019 regular season by finishing within the top 10. Gligic, of Burlington, Ont., and Choi earned entry into next year’s first eight events with their top-40 result.
Fritsch fired a 62 in the last round to finish three shots behind winner Danny Walker at 24-under 264.
Gligic (70) was 22 under and Choi (67) was 18 under.
By reaching final stage of qualifying, every member of the field earned conditional 2019 status, but the top-40 finishers earned guaranteed starts. Walker secured fully exempt Web.com Tour status.
