AUGUSTA – Rory McIlroy has successfully defended his Masters golf tournament title.
The 36-year-old shot 1-under 71 in the final round on Sunday to finish 12-under for the event.
McIlroy came into the weekend with a six-shot lead.
However, he shot 73 on Saturday to enter Sunday in a tie atop the leaderboard with Cameron Young.
He became just the fourth repeat winner of the Masters, joining Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods.
