The RBC Canadian Open is on this week at St. George’s Golf and Country Club in Toronto’s west end. As the men’s national golf championship is held for the 111th time many other Canadian golfers are still in actions around North America’s top tours.

KORN FERRY TOUR — Ben Silverman of Thornhill, Ont., is the lone Canadian in the field at the BMW Charity Pro-Am. He’ll be paired with American Dawson Armstrong at Thornblade Club in Greer, S.C.

CHAMPIONS TOUR — Calgary’s Stephen Ames is the only Canadian teeing it up on Friday at the American Family Insurance Championship at University Ridge Golf Club in Madison, Wis. He’s fourth on the Charles Schwab Cup money list with US$822,775

PGA TOUR LATINOAMERICA — Noah Steele of Kingston, Ont., is the low Canadian in the field at the Fortox Colombia Classic. He’s ranked 68th on the TotalPlay Cup rankings and will be joined by Henry Lee (108) of Coquitlam, B.C., and Ziggy Nathu (T145) of Richmond, B.C., at Ruitoque Golf Country Club in Bucaramanga, Colombia.

DELAET RETIRES — Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask., announced his retirement from professional golf on Tuesday. The former Canadian Olympian had struggled with injuries for the past few years. He finishes his PGA Tour career with three second-place finishes and three third-place finishes.

LPGA TOUR — World No. 11 Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ont., is back in action at the ShopRite LPGA Classic in Galloway, N.J. She tied for 15th at last week’s U.S. Women’s Open. She’ll be joined by Maddie Szeryk of London, Ont., and Hamilton’s Alena Sharp at Seaview, Bay Course.

EPSON TOUR — Selena Costabile of Thornhill, Ont., is the top Canadian at the Carolina Golf Classic at Kinston Country Club in North Carolina. She’s 79th on the second-tier tour’s points list. Megan Osland of Kelowna, B.C., and Christina Foster of Concord, Ont., are also in the field.
