BRANTFORD – Jake O’Brien had three goals and two assists, Marek Vanacker had another three goals and one assist and the Brantford Bulldogs overpowered the visiting Ottawa 67’s 8-5 in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday at the TD Civic Centre.
Dylan Tsherna and Sam McCue also scored for the Bulldogs (6-0-1-1), who outscored the visitors 4-1 in the third period. Adam Benak chipped in with four assists and Vladimir Dravecky added three helpers.
Zach Houben, Cooper Foster, Jasper Kuhta, Thomas Vandenberg and Shaan Kingwell scored for the 67’s (6-1-0-0), who were outshot 39-30. Vandenberg chipped in with two assists.
Bulldogs goaltender David Egorov stopped 25 of 30 shots, while Ryder Fetterolf stopped 31 of 37 shots for the 67’s.
The Bulldogs went 2-for-2 on the power play, while the 67’s were 2-for-3.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Ryan Roobroeck’s power-play goal at 10:41 of the third period snapped a 3-3 tie and lifted the Niagara IceDogs to a 4-3 win over the visiting Sudbury Wolves.
Kevin He, Ben Reisnecker and Grayson Tiller also scored for the IceDogs (5-3-0-1), who were outshot 45-26. Vladislav Yermolenko saved 42 of 45 shots.
Jan Chovan, Hudson Chitaroni and Kieron Walton scored for the Wolves (1-7-1-0), who trailed 3-2 heading into the third period. Owen Leonard stopped 22 of 26 shots.
