SAULT STE. MARIE – Matthew Soto scored 1:24 into overtime as the visiting Peterborough Petes completed a late third-period rally to knock off the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action on Friday.
Adam Novotny, Braydon McCallum and Aiden Young scored for the Petes (6-5-1-1), who trailed 3-2 with less than three minutes left in the third. Young scored on the power play at 17:47 to force the extra session.
Spencer Evans, Christopher Brown and Tobias Zvolensky scored for the Greyhounds (8-6-1-0), who trailed 1-0 after the first period, but were tied 2-2 heading into the third.
The Petes went 1-for-5 on the power play, while the Greyhounds were 0-for-3.
Petes netminder Easton Rye stopped 27 of 30 shots, while Noah Tegelaar stopped 26 of 30 shots for the Greyhounds.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Alex Pharand, Nathan Villeneuve and Kieron Walton each had a goal and two assists as the Sudbury Wolves beat the visiting Barrie Colts 5-3.
Jan Chovan and Rowan Henderson also scored for the Wolves (3-8-1-0), who led 3-1 after the first period and 4-2 heading into third.
Brad Gardiner, Eamon Edgar and Calvin Crombie scored for the Colts (3-7-0-3), while Cole Beaudoin chipped in with two assists. The Colts outshot the hosts 35-29.
The Wolves went 3-for-4 on the power play, while the Colts were 1-for-4.
