ST. JOHN’S – Liam Arsenault, Maddex Marmulak and Dawson Sharkey each had a goal and assist and the Newfoundland Regiment scored four times in the third period to beat the visiting Saint John Sea Dogs 6-3 in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Friday.
Justin Larose, Dominic Pilote and Max Dinneen (empty-netter) also scored for the Regiment (7-6-0-0), who led 1-0 after the first period and 2-1 heading into the third at Mary Brown’s Centre. William Reynolds chipped in with two assists. The Regiment went 0-for-3 on the power play.
Max Vilen, Dylan Rozzi and Alexis Joseph scored for the Sea Dogs (5-5-1-0), who were 1-for-5 with the man advantage.
Regiment netminder Antoine Proulx stopped 29 of 32 shots, while Justin Robinson stopped 27 of 32 for the Sea Dogs.

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Preston Lounsbury and Niko Tournas each had a goal and assist as the visiting Moncton Wildcats defeated the Charlottetown Islanders 4-2.
Gabe Smith and Alex Mercier also scored for the Wildcats (6-3-2-0), who were outshot 32-27. Tommy Bleyl chipped in with two assists.
Marcus Kearsey and Jude Herron scored for the Islanders (9-2-1-2), who were tied 1-1 after the first period, but trailed 3-1 heading into the third.
The Wildcats went 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Islanders were 0-for-4.
Wildcats netminder Rudy Guimond stopped 30 of 32 shots, while Donald Hickey stopped 23 of 26 shots for the Islanders.
