JETS coach Claude Noel has seen no speed bumps this week despite his previous concern that nine days between the team’s final exhibition game and Sunday’s season-opener against Montreal could be problematic.

“The week’s gone good,” Noel said after Friday’s team scrimmage. “We accomplished what we wanted to. We wanted to break up the nine days, we managed to do team-building and I said earlier that we would have a game today and I think the game was great. I was able to see even more things that I thought I already knew.

“We’re a game behind (Montreal played Thursday night) so now we hope we have equal footing. We’ll see if it works. I think we’re on track as far as I can see.”
