About the Jets

Stuck in 10th spot in the Eastern Conference and third in the Southeast Division, five points back of first-place Florida and four back of Washington… The Jets keep tumbling down the stats chart in goals for: their 2.35 is now tied for 25th… Evander Kane, who has been out with a concussion, will be a game-time decision. Even having missed eight games this season, he still leads the team with 18 goals and his three game-winning goals is second to Andrew Ladd’s four winners.

About the

Maple Leafs

Rolling into town after playing Edmonton Monday night… Jonas Gustavsson is expected to start in the Leafs goal, after Manitoba’s James Reimer — named the NHL’s third star for his work last week — played Monday against the Oilers… The Leafs started a stretch in Edmonton of 15 games in 31 days… The Leafs’ 3.04 goals per game is sixth-best in the NHL.
