One game of full-team health was all the Winnipeg Jets could do this time.
Defenceman Zach Bogosian will miss tonight’s game and is “probably” out a week, Jets coach Claude Noel said Sunday.
Bogosian aggravated an earlier upper-body injury in Thursday’s 7-0 win over Florida. He tried to practise on Saturday but made it only a few minutes into the workout.
“It’s something that took place in the game, caught us off-guard a little bit.,” the coach said. “We knew it happened and he expressed that it happened. We just didn’t think it would be like this but we’ve got a handle on it.
“He’s not very happy.”
Bogosian has just returned from a seven-game absence due to a wrist injury.
He sat out five games just before the all-star break with a foot injury, then played 11 games before going out with the wrist.
“He’ll be a guy you miss because he’s got weight, size, and he skates,” Noel said.
The coach said he’s leaning towards Grant Clitsome as Bogosian’s replacement tonight against Buffalo, though Mark Flood is also an option.
“I’m leaning towards Clitsome because we haven’t seen him and I’d like to see how he does,” Noel said. “That would be about it.”
