About the Jets
Jets head off on the road 6-1-2 in their last nine games, including a recent run of 5-1-2 at the MTS Centre… It’s the first and only meeting of the season with the Canucks… Winnipeg’s schedule takes it to Calgary for Friday in another back-to-back circumstance, then it’s Wednesday at home (Dallas) before the team plays again… The Jets’ road record leaves much to be desired, at 11-17-4, though they have won two of the last three away from home… C Bryan Little is coming off a season-best three-point game Monday against Buffalo, when he set up all three goals in a 3-1 win… RW Blake Wheeler leads the Jets with 54 points, including 15 goals. His game-winner Monday was his third of the season… Little leads the Jets in that category with six.
About the Canucks
Dropped a 5-2 game to Dallas in Vancouver on Tuesday, leaving them 1-2-2 in the last five… Still, with 90 points, Vancouver is just one point out of the Western Conference lead held by St. Louis and one point out of first overall in the NHL… Canucks have been dreadful on the power play of late, with just one advantage goal in their last eight games and one for 21 in that span… Shockingly, captain and centre Henrik Sedin, who leads the team with 66 points, has none in his last six games… Vancouver is 19-8-4 at Rogers Centre this season but is just 2-2-0 against teams from the Southeast Division.
