Lost Monday at home, making it the first time in more than two months the team was defeated in regulation in consecutive games at the MTS Centre… Now with six games to play, Winnipeg is eight points off the eighth position in the Eastern Conference and have no games left against both teams (Buffalo, Washington) it is chasing… LW Evander Kane (5 games) and RW Kyle Wellwood (8 games) snapped goalless droughts Monday… RW Antti Miettinen had a two-goal game Monday, his second in a row at the MTS Centre… G Ondrej Pavelec has started 12 in a row, 63 on the season and is No. 7 in minutes played in the NHL this season.

About the Rangers

Faced the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul on Tuesday; will meet the Jets for the fourth time this season but first when they have played the night before… Winnipeg lost both games in New York this season when playing elsewhere the previous night… G Henrik Lundqvist (35-16-5) had made 56 starts up to Tuesday and was No. 11 in minutes played in the NHL… RW Marian Gaborik, the team’s leading scorer, had 37 goals and 68 points heading into tonight’s game… The Rangers, first in the East heading into tonights action, had won three of the last four, two of those in extra time.
