NO COMMENT:

Jets coach Claude Noel wanted nothing to do with the subject of the late-game interference penalty to Jets defenceman Zach Redmond, the call that started the “death blow” of James Neal’s five-on-three goal for a 2-0 lead at 15:11 of the third. “I don’t know; you tell me,” Noel said of the call for impeding Craig Adams at 13:18. There was just a tinge of sharpness in the coach’s voice.

TRENDING UP:

Helping to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Hockey Night in Canada, the full crew, including Don Cherry and Ron McLean, were in the MTS Centre for the national telecast Friday. In addition, Winnipegger Scott Oake, an HNIC host, and eight-year-old Katie Soper, granddaughter of longtime HNIC staple Don Wittman of Winnipeg, dropped the ceremonial puck before the game.
