Justin Peters, goalie, Carolina: The Jets didn’t make it difficult for the Canes’ netminder, but he was positionally sound and didn’t spit up an abundance of rebounds for second and third chances.

★★ Alexander Semin, right-winger: Carolina: Just so slick and when he’s involved, he’s dangerous. Finished with a goal and an assist as the Canes top line, including Eric Staal at centre and Jiri Tlusty at left wing, was solid.

★★★ Zach Bogosian, defenceman, Winnipeg: There were spurts from any number of Jets, but Bogosian was probably the most consistent. He was a minus-1, but finished with a game-high nine shots.

The Jets have just one goal over their last six periods, including last Thursday’s 4-0 loss in Pittsburgh and Saturday’s 3-1 setback against the Hurricanes.

The Jets surrendered the first goal of the game just 66 seconds in to Alexander Semin and are now 7-12-1 when giving up the first marker.

The Jets will practise in Winnipeg this morning before heading out for a three-game road trip that will begin Monday night in New York against the Rangers (6 p.m.; TSN Jets/TSN 1290), continue Tuesday in Long Island against the Islanders and wrap up next Thursday in Montreal.
