үӯ UNDER .500 AGAIN:
A bottom-four faceoff team (44.5 per cent) entering the game, the Jets had their hands full yet again in the faceoff circle on Friday. They lost 33 of 60 against the Blues, who are a top-10 team in that category.
үӯ VACATION BLUES:
St. Louis, now off to a sharp 5-1-1 start, has a week off until its next game at home to Vancouver. The team went to South Carolina right after the loss to the Jets to spend a few days of R&R.
үӯ HOME SPLURGE:
The Jets, with their third-period surge, came to life after more than a week in an offensive funk. The team had five goals in four games coming in, two of those goals late insurance against New Jersey that didn’t figure much in that result. Winnipeg now has 20 goals in eight games this season.
үӯ UP NEXT:
Winnipeg hosts Nashville on Sunday and Washington Tuesday night to close out a six-game homestand.
