ABOUT THE WINGS

Come to Winnipeg for the first time in more than 17 years; scored a 5-0 win over Edmonton Saturday night for a third straight win (also Vancouver and Calgary) on their four-game western trip.

Wings are off to a 9-4-2 start in their new residence in the Eastern Conference’s Atlantic Division.

Detroit has created its winning streak with just one power-play goal and perfect penalty killing.

Winnipegger Darren Helm (above) came off the injured reserve list on Saturday for the Wings and scored a goal in the game’s first six minutes.

Detroit’s offensive leader so far as been veteran Pavel Datsyuk, who’s got six goals and 15 points in 15 games.
