TAKE A BOW:
The Hawks are pretty proud of their two Stanley Cups in the last four years. And they have been pretty inclusive on the celebrations. Wednesday at United Center during the game’s first television timeout, a scoreboard video was presented featuring and saluting Jets right-winger Michael Frolik, who was traded to Winnipeg in the summer. For his Cup contributions, Frolik received a standing ovation from the 21,112 in attendance. Former Hawks forward Dave Bolland, now in Toronto, received a similar salute earlier this season.
A IS FOR ASSIST:
With two helpers on Wednesday night, defenceman Duncan Keith now has a five-game assists streak going, with six in that time. The total is leading his team from the back end.
“I don’t think it’s any different than anything I’ve been trying to do for the last few years,” Keith said Wednesday. “Teams play such good defence now that it’s important to have the defence involved in the play and get up as much as we can to alleviate as much of the pressure as we can from our forwards.”
UP NEXT:
The Jets are home to Nashville Friday night at the MTS Centre.
