үӯ BE AMAZED:
NHL statistics are sometimes a bewildering entity.

Some are expected, like the Winnipeg Jets’ high giveaway total on Friday, 12, and their faceoff struggles, 45 per cent.
But others almost defy explanation. Stats keepers Friday had the Jets outhitting the Flyers 39-37 on the game.
үӯ SOME REWARD:
He tried, but Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien just couldn’t get anything to pay off on Friday.
The big blue-liner led all players in ice time, playing 27 minutes 24 seconds. Byfuglien also had four shots on goal and was moved up front to stand near the Flyers net during a couple of late-game power plays.
Unfortunately, after some bad luck in the first minute and a horrible attempted exchange with partner Toby Enstrom during the second-period power play that led to Couturier’s winner, Buff ended up minus-two for his efforts.
үӯ UP NEXT:
Jets at New York Rangers, Monday 6 p.m., Madison Square Garden (TSN Jets, TSN 1290).
