“Ø”Ø HE’S READY:
ROOKIE Mark Scheifele, with two more points Friday, said he’s ready for the extra opposition attention that’s bound to come his way now that he’s starting to find his way offensively.
“I dealt with it in junior,” the 20-year-old centre said. “It’s just a challenge. You have to be ready for that stuff. You just have to be willing to fight through a hack or a slash or being held up a little bit. You just have to keep your cool and continue to work hard, not get away from your game at all.”
үӯ GRUDGE ON:
WITH less than 30 seconds to play, Evander Kane and Florida’s Scottie Upshall got in a tussle, with Kane getting the extra minor.
“You ask a guy to go 15 times a game, you’d think he’d drop his gloves once in a while but I guess not,” Kane said. “He kept them on. Mine came off. I won’t get into it. He had a bit of an ugly hit in Atlanta… he’s never wanted to answer the bell, so that’s up to him.”
