4TH LINE PROPS:

Jets coach Claude Noel acknowledged the team’s sluggish start on Sunday — might it have had something to do with the long travel delay the club experienced on Saturday? — but sent out a bouquet for his fourth line on Sunday.

“We had a little trouble getting started the first three or four minutes, certainly we lacked get up and go and intensity, but the line of (James) Wright, (Eric) Tangradi and (Anthony) Peluso kind of got us started,” the coach said. The group was in the seven- to eightminute range on Sunday.

SMALL THINGS:

The Jets have played 23 one-goal games now and bumped their mark to 10-8-5 with Sunday’s win. It’s a start, but nowhere yet near some of the good teams ahead of them, like the Avs, who are 10-2-4 in this department.

The victory also helped Winnipeg improve one stat where it really lags — regulation or overtime wins. The Jets are up to 13 now at the season’s halfway point, still behind many of the playoff teams right now, who are in the 20s. Colorado, for instance, has 21 wins in this category.
