ABOUT THE SHARKS
The Sharks, like the Jets, are riding a four-game winning streak coming into tonight. And San Jose is doing it despite having several key players laid up with injury right now, including Logan Couture, Tomas Hertl, Raffi Torres and Adam Burish.
Word in San Jose is that Sharks forward Joe Pavelski, who has 18 goals in his last 20 games, is playing some of the best hockey of his career right now.
San Jose is dominating on home ice, posting a 17-2-3 record at SAP Center this season.

The Jets won the only previous meeting between the two teams this season, 5-4 in a shootout at the MTS Centre on Nov. 10.
This is the first time the Jets have visited San Jose since Winnipeg rejoined the NHL in 2011. After tonight, Los Angeles will be the last remaining NHL city the Jets 2.0 have yet to visit.
