ABOUT THE COYOTES

The Coyotes have won six of their last 10 and owned the final wild-card berth in the Western Conference prior to Monday’s action with a record of 36-27-12 for 84 points.

Keith Yandle leads the club in scoring with 51 points and Antoine Vermette is the team’s top goal getter with 24. The Coyotes lead the NHL with eight players with 40 or more points; Yandle, Radim Vrbata, Mikkel Boedker, Mike Ribeiro, Vermette, Shane Doan, Martin Hanzal and Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

Phoenix has the second best power-play percentage in the Western Conference at 20.7, just behind St. Louis and fifth-best in the NHL. The Coyotes have 55 power-play goals. Their penalty-killing unit ranks 25th in the league with a 79.8 efficiency percentage.
