Hey there, time traveller!

THE news from Jets sick bay was all good on Monday.
While injured Jets centre Bryan Little and defenceman Toby Enstrom both missed practice at the MTS Centre — Winnipeg’s first practice since wrapping up a three-game road trip in Boston last Friday — head coach Paul Maurice said the two men would be on the ice when the Jets skate at the MTS Centre today and could be back in the lineup as early as Wednesday night’s home game against the Edmonton Oilers.
“They’ll skate tomorrow and if they get through and they feel good, then they will be players for us the next night,” said Maurice.
“We’ll probably put them on the ice 10 minutes early to make sure they’re feeling as good as we think (and) as good as they feel they are. My expectation now is they’ll be with us for practice tomorrow.”
Little was injured in the loss to Boston when he took a puck off a knee, and he did not finish the game. Enstrom missed all of a three-game road trip last week with a lower-body injury.
Maurice had Mark Scheifele in place of Little on a line between Blake Wheeler and Andrew Ladd on Monday, while Grant Clitsome has been playing in place of Enstrom on a pairing with Zach Bogosian the last three games.
Little has eight goals and seven assists this season and is third in scoring for the Jets, just one point behind scoring co-leaders Wheeler and Ladd. A quick return to the lineup for Little — particularly after what looked at first glance Friday night to be a potentially serious knee injury — would be a big break for the Jets.
“He’s just so solid. He makes the right plays all the time,” Wheeler said of Little. “You can trust him at any point in the game. And he’s scored some big goals for us… You can’t say enough about what Bryan Little does for our team.”
Hutchinson leads NHL
JETS goaltender Michael Hutchinson was leading the NHL in goals-against average (1.56) and save percentage (.947) heading into Monday night’s action.
With Hutchinson off to such a hot start, Maurice was asked how he intends to share the team’s goaltending dutes this season between Hutchinson and Ondrej Pavelec, who has a 2.23 GAA and .919 save percentage this season.
“Just make sure neither one is out of the net more than seven days,” said Maurice. “For the most part. Sometimes it will be eight days, but don’t let a week go by with (one goaltender playing) while one guy’s watching.”
