ABOUT THE PANTHERS
The Panthers come to Winnipeg for their only visit of the season riding a three-game winning streak after victories in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.
With a mark of 19-11-9, Florida has shown improved consistency this season, having not lost more than two games in a row in regulation.
The Panthers are 8-4-2 vs. the Western Conference this season and tonight marks the fourth of seven straight games against teams from the West. The team is just 1-2-1 vs. the Central this season.
C Nick Bjugstad leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and nine assists. He signed a six-year contract extension with the team on Dec. 31.
Rookie D Aaron Ekblad is plus-11 so far this season, leading Florida in that department. Ekblad is averaging 22 minutes two seconds per game of playing time.
G Roberto Luongo is 17-7-7 in 32 appearances so far this season for Florida. His backup is former Jets backup Al Montoya.
