ABOUT THE WINGS
Detroit comes to the game after a 4-1 loss to Pittsburgh, but has won three of its last five. Overall, the team is 31-13-9 this season.
The Wings continue to be a four-line team. Wednesday against PIttsburgh, Detroit had just one player who played less than 13 minutes, and nobody who played less than 10:38.
LW Tomas Tatar is having a fine season. Though he was shut out Wednesday, he has 23 goals (best on the Wings) and 39 points.
Detroit is a dangerous third-period team. It has a record of 6-10-2 when trailing after two periods, including a win in Winnipeg earlier this season, and is 21-0-2 when leading after two. That last stat is a decided edge tonight, as the Jets are 0-15-3 this season when trailing after two.
The Wings have posted a 7-0-1 record vs. Central Division teams this season.
With power-play goals in four straight games, Detroit leads the NHL with a 25.9 per cent power play.
