ABOUT THE KINGS

— Tonight’s game ends a quick two-game trip for the Los Angeles Kings, who scored a 3-2 win Sunday in Edmonton courtesy of a late goal by Tanner Pearson, his first of the season.

— The Kings started off the season with five home games and lost the first three, ending the homestand at 3-2. Building on those two wins, L.A. has since defeated the Sharks, Hurricanes and Oilers to build a five-game winning streak.

— Tyler Toffoli is the hottest Kings sniper early in the season, with six goals in the team’s eight games. His shooting percentage — Toffoli has scored on 30 per cent of his shots — is second in the NHL among players who have taken at least 20 shots.
