үӯ ABOUT THE AVS
The Avs, who beat the Jets on Monday in Winnipeg, play a second straight home game tonight when they meet the Jets again. After the seven-game road trip that concluded in Winnipeg, and the end of a quick two-game stay at home, Colorado goes out on the road for the next four.
Colorado comes to the game after a 5-3 home loss to Ottawa on Wednesday. The Avs trailed 4-1 through two periods and missed on five of their six power-play chances in the game. Ottawa had just one power-play in the game.
Colorado has power-play goals in four straight games, moving up to No. 11 in the NHL at 20 per cent.
After beating the Jets last Monday, the Avs went to 2-1-0 within the Central Division. They will have only four more Central games before Christmas, including a pair next week against Minnesota.
C Nathan MacKinnon continues his excellent start to the season. He’s leading the team in scoring with 10 goals and 23 points through 22 games and is a team-best plus-seven.
