ABOUT THE DUCKS

The Ducks will open a season-high eight-game homestand against the Jets and have picked up points in their last four (3-0-1) after Friday’s 2-1 shootout loss to Vancouver in B.C.

Anaheim had a scoreless streak of 207 minutes, 58 second broken in the third against the Canucks — the longest since 2002. Frederik Andersen started in net for the Ducks, but John Gibson has posted consecutive 1-0 shutouts and is working on a 157:34 stretch of shutting down opposition shooters.

This will be the first Ducks-Jets meeting since Anaheim’s sweep in the playoffs. The Ducks are 12-7-1 all-time against Winnipeg/Atlanta.

No active Ducks player has picked up more points against the Jets than Ryan Getzlaf (3G, 10A) in 11 games.

Anaheim forward Andrew Cogliano is the NHL’s reigning Ironman (659 games and counting). He hasn’t missed a game in his NHL career dating back to Oct. 4, 2007 and his days in Edmonton. Only one player in NHL history has played more consecutive games to start his career: Doug Jarvis (the NHL’s all-time Ironman with 964 consecutive games from 1975-88).
