ABOUT THE FLYERS

-The Flyers are 1-0-1 midway through a four-game home stand at Wells Fargo Center. Philadelphia (7-7-3) beat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 Saturday night and then followed with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday. After tonight’s battle with the Jets, Philadelphia hosts Tampa Bay on Saturday afternoon before heading out for a two-game Florida swing next week.

-G Steve Mason stopped 28 shots and blocked another four in the shootout before giving up Erik Karlsson’s shootout winner in a 3-2 home defeat Tuesday night. Said Flyers coach Dave Hakstol afterwards: “Overall, I think it was probably Mase’s best 65 minutes of the year.” Mason has struggled this season, posting a goals-against average of 3.24 and .884 save percentage, while winning just three times in nine starts.

-F Jakub Voracek leads the Flyers with 17 points in 17 games, including seven goals. F Claude Giroux is next with 16 points and F Wayne Simmonds follows with 15, including a team-leading eight goals.

-G Michal Neuvirth is sidelined with a sprained knee and could miss four to six weeks of action. The club has called up Anthony Stolarz from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League. This is his ninth recall in three pro seasons, but the 22-year-old from Edison, N.J., has yet to see action in a regular-season game.

-The Flyers are deadly when they have the man advantage. Philadelphia has scored a league-leading 17 power-play goals and has made good on 27.4 per cent of its chances, second only to Columbus (30.8). But the Flyers are 25th in the league with a 78.8-per-cent efficiency rating while short-handed.
