❯❯ About the ISLES
New York was holding down the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference heading into Wednesday night’s action and comes into their game against the Jets off a 3-2 win at Carolina on Tuesday night.
The Islanders have been at their best when they’ve been at home this season. They’re 20-9-6 at Barclays Center, but just 13-16-5 on the road.
The Islanders are led offensively by captain C John Tavares (26 goals, 33 assists) and LW Josh Bailey (12 goals, 37 assists). After a slow start to the season, former Jets captain LW Andrew Ladd has picked up the pace and now has 19 goals, although still only eight assists.
