ABOUT THE BLUE JACKETS
— Columbus (6-3-0) is coming off a dominant 5-1 triumph over the visiting Buffalo Sabres Wednesday night. Oliver Bjorkstrand, Nick Foligno, Seth Jones, Matt Calvert and Josh Anderson sniped for the winners. Seth Griffith spoiled G Sergei Bobrovsky’s shutout bid with 2:34 remaining in the game. Bobrovksy is now 9-3-1 all time against the Sabres. Tonight’s game against the Jets ends a four-game homestand.
— The Blue Jackets have scored five goals in four of their nine games thus far, going 4-0-0 in those games.

— C Lukas Sedlak was placed on injured reserve earlier this week after the 24-year-old suffered an ankle injury in Monday’s practice. Sedlak is expected to miss six weeks. He had two goals and two points in eight games with the Blue Jackets this season. LW Markus Hannikainen was recalled from Cleveland of the AHL to fill his spot on the roster.
— LW Artemi Panarin leads the Jackets with 10 points, including one goal. LW Nick Foligno is next with three goals and eight points while D Seth Jones is third with two goals and seven points. Foligno has registered at least a point in seven of nine games.
— Jones and sophomore D Zach Werenski are logging the biggest minutes on the team, average 23:34 and 22:07 per game, respectively, and have combined for five goals and 13 points.
