❯❯ About the STARS
Dallas (8-6-0) opened a three-game home stand Saturday night with a 5-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Five different skaters netted goals, while D John Klingberg set up three tallies. The Swedish-born blue-liner, the younger brother of former Jets forward Carl Klingberg, has 11 assists this season and is among the league leaders in that category for defenceman.
The Stars began the season 1-3 but have gone 7-3 in their last 10 contests. They’re also 5-1 at American Airlines Center. Dallas is getting the usual production from the usual suspect. C Tyler Seguin (8G, 7A) and LW Jamie Benn (7G, 7A) lead the club offensively. RW Alex Radulov (5G, 7A) are also having a solid start to the season.
C Radek Faksa left the game against the Sabres in the second period following a collision with Buffalo RW Kyle Okposo. Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said Faksa is day to day. Meanwhile, RW Brett Ritchie (upper body) missed his second game, and C Martin Hanzal (lower body) missed his third. RW Tyler Pitlick (undisclosed) is also a possibility for tonight.

Earlier this season, head coach Ken Hitchcock, 65, moved into third on the NHL’s all-time coaching wins list (783), passing Al Arbour. He’s added another six victories since that win over Colorado on Oct. 14. Scotty Bowman tops the list with 1,244 victories, while Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville is second with 858. Hitchcock returned to team over the summer after a six-year run with the St. Louis Blues. He previously coached Dallas from 1995-2002, leading the club to its lone Stanley Cup championship in 1999.
