– Beat Winnipeg 4-1 in Game 1 Saturday night, then lost 3-2 to the Jets in Monday’s Game 2. They will now serve as the “road team” for the next two contests, meaning Jets coach Paul Maurice will get the last line change.
-C Elias Lindholm (1G, 1A), LW Andrew Mangiapane (1G, 1A) and LW Milan Lucic (0G, 2A) lead the Flames in scoring through the first two games. Among the players still looking for their first point include LW Matthew Tkachuk and D Mark Giordano, who were the top scoring forward and defenceman during the regular season.
-G Cam Talbot has stopped 40 of 44 shots he’s faced so far, with a 2.03 goals against average and .909 save percentage.
– Calgary’s power play is 2-for-10 in the series, while they have killed off 12 of 13 penalties. However, the one goal they gave up proved to be the Game 2 winner.
