The Winnipeg Jets will honour the late Dale Hawerchuk on Thursday with a live-streamed event, aptly called ‘Remembering Ducky.’

It is scheduled for noon on winnipegjets.com, YouTube and the Jets mobile app. Fans can also watch the show live on Twitter and Facebook, and the show will repeat at 7 p.m..

The NHL hall-of-famer died Aug. 18 of cancer. Hawerchuk, who starred for the Jets 1.0 from 1981 to 1990, was 57.

JetsTV host Jamie Thomas will be joined by JetsTV reporter Mitchell Clinton as the two recap Hawerchuk’s brilliant career. Throughout the show, guests including executive chairman Mark Chipman, Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff and Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice will offer their memories of the star centre.

Hawerchuk’s son, Eric, will also discuss the Hawerchuk Strong website and how fans can donate to causes that meant the most to his father.
