Free-agent forward Quinton Howden has joined the HC Dynamo Minsk of the KHL.
Minsk’s regular season opens Aug. 23.
The 25-year-old Oakbank product spent the 2016-17 season in Winnipeg, playing 58 games with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose and going pointless in five games with the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets.

Howden, whose season ended on March 22 due to an undisclosed injury, was not extended a qualifying offer by the Jets and became an unrestricted free agent.
Howden had 13 goals, 24 points and 10 penalty minutes with the Moose. Each of his four previous professional seasons were spent in the Florida Panthers organization, split between the AHL and NHL. In 97 NHL career games, he has 10 goals, 17 points and 30 penalty minutes.
