At the same time NHL bossman Gary Bettman was complaining about the costs of player salaries, the Minnesota Wild dropped $196 million on these two: free agents Ryan Suter (left) and Zach Parise.

I plan on following the IceCaps and watching pvr’d Jets games. Unlikely there will be agreement between PA and NHL.

I’m sure its been said, the #nhlpa union doesn’t seem very unified when 100+ members are taking jobs overseas!

Jason Wiebe @jay_weebah

I’m discouraged because I have Winter Classic tix. But a deal that benefits Wpg long-term doesn’t come easy.

Dan Heaford @dhfromkw

Give owners larger slice of revenue pie but put some in escrow for office/event staff that suffer every lockout

Jay Boaz @JBo_8

NHL wants players to pay for costly expansion into non-hockey markets. Answers are rev sharing, relocation, and/or compaction.

Terry Lowdon @tlowdon2

True North should donate every cancelled game ice time to minor hockey, so the kids they are disappointing can enjoy it

Dan Rochon @_danielrochon

Fan groups need seat at table. Not just for CBA negotiation but for ongoing connection to each team for a variety of concerns.

Would love to see NHL players give up guaranteed contracts..don’t think they understand how great thy have it

Christophe Rodrigue @Christophe9999

Manitobans who can’t access tickets are snickering and saying, “Well if I can’t go to Jets games, nobody can!!”

Dan Heaford @dhfromkw

Taking jobs overseas bothers me, if Canada Post locked out mail carriers they would go start delivering for UPS???

Dave Schulz @DaveTheRegular

Last lockout I was angry & wanted it done, now I care less every day. Screw both sides. I’ll support minor league hockey

FB @Flyer_Bully

The NHL should be looking to use Scabs. I’d rather watch some hockey than no hockey.

Matthew Dahl @wpgmbd

Would the players be better off with no PA? Owners have more $$ than brains.
