Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Ice went into Saturday’s regular-season finale with the Regina Pats not knowing who it would be playing in the WHL’s Eastern Conference quarter-finals.
That’s all settled now.
Winnipeg’s 6-4 win over Regina before 1,481 fans at the Brandt Centre eliminated the Pats from playoff contention and Prince Albert’s 5-1 triumph over the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings earned the Raiders the No. 8 post-season seed.
Prince Albert will travel to Winnipeg for Games 1 and 2 of the post-season on Friday and Saturday at the Wayne Fleming Arena.
Jack Finley’s 27th of the season, Owen Pederson’s 17th, Mikey Milne’s 38th, Zach Benson’s 25th, Tanner Brown’s seventh and Matt Savoie’s 35th provided the offence for Winnipeg.
The Ice completed the most successful regular season in franchise history with a 53-10-3-2 record and 111 points, good for first overall in the WHL.
Winnipeg went 7-0-0-0 and outscored the Pats 38-14 in the season series.
Logan Nijhoff potted his 23rd and 24th goals of the season for the Pats, who fell to 26-36-3-2 with one game left on their regular-season schedule.
Braxton Whitehead, with his 10th, and Easton Armstrong, with his sixth, also scored for Regina.
Spencer Welke had 34 stops in the Pats net.
Winnipeg goaltender Daniel Hauser improved his record to 34-3-1-0 with a 25-save performance.
BLUE-LINES: Regina went 2-for-4 on the power play. The Ice was scoreless in two chances… The Ice unveiled three more regular-season team awards Saturday, including forward Matt Savoie (top rookie), Carson Lambos (top defenceman) amd Nolan Orzeck (unsung hero)… Defencemen Omen Harmacy, Ben Zloty and Jarod Newell and forwards Alessandro Segafredo and Seqoia Swan were healthy scratches for Winnipeg. Veteran goaltender Gage Alexander (lower-body injury) is listed as day-to-day… Three stars: 1. Mikey Milne, Winnipeg (one goal, one assist); 2 Logan Nijhoff, Regina (two goals); 3. Carson Lambos, Winnipeg (one assist, seven shots).
