Hey there, time traveller!

Kelsey Wog missed on her second attempt to reach a final at the Summer Olympics Thursday.
The 22-year-old Winnipeg swimmer finished eighth in her 200-metre breaststroke semifinal and was subsequently disqualified for using a dolphin kick on the completion of a stroke during the race.
Wog usually swims her signature event in times that would have put her in the final.

“The heat of the moment just got to her, that’s where we are, that’s part of the game,” said University of Manitoba swim coach Vlastik Cerny by phone from Tokyo today. “… We’ve made huge strides with her in training… her warmup was really good (but) anxiety has a funny way of showing up.
“It’s unfortunate but it’s not the end of the world. She’s an Olympian and nobody’s gonna take that away from her. You just regroup and go again.”
Earlier in the week, Wog clocked a time of 1:07.73 for 23rd spot in the 100-metre breaststroke preliminaries and missed qualifying for the semifinals.
“As challenging as the year has been, she has done really, really good things and has grown as an athlete,” added Cerny.
Wog is slated to swim the breaststroke leg for the Canadian team in the women’s 4×100-metre medley relay. Heats are set for Friday with the final going on Saturday.
