On Jets first win of the season vs. the Caps Tuesday night…

jrs — What happened after game 1? Did they replace the entire team with clones? This is the jets we’ve been waiting for. Hustling, Moving, Intercepting, its beautiful.

Waz72 — Solid effort all around. Nice line juggling by Noel and solid effort from Kane (especially setting up Wheeler). Hope they can keep it going at home against Pittsburgh.

festinator — This should do wonders for the jets confidence. Great game throughout the lineup. Big game by pavelec. Big players finally showed up. Gonna let that late goal slide as they were obviously exhausted. Jets played big first 2 periods and pavs backed em up the rest of the way. Gonna be a rockin mts on Friday. Let’s get those points against the pens and isles! GO JETS GO!

Slick43 — Well they won quite handily, so I guess all the “this team suks” experts on here can admit they know nothing. This team is no cup winner, it wasn’t when TNS bought it, but you build a winner it doesn’t come in fairy dust.

Ozzy — A slow and weak skater like Wellwood is going to need some injuries and/or poor performances by others to draw back into the lineup. Even with their strongest players on the ice, the Jets are notoriously weak at puck possession (last night was a slight change for the better). We saw how easily Schiefle, Ladd, Little, Kane can be moved off the puck. Adding Wellwood (no grit or sandpaper to his game) is going to be a hard decision.

Tweets

From Evander Kane (who takes shots at locker-mate Chris Thorburn’s nose all the time) after the game:

— Evander Kane@EKane9JETS: Great first win. #letyournosebeyourguide @CThorburn22
