Montreal Impact midfielder Ken Krolicki is expected to miss six weeks after undergoing surgery to his right elbow on Monday.
The MLS club says Krolicki suffered a dislocated right elbow. He was hurt during a pre-season game against Tampa Bay last Wednesday.
The 22-year-old made 18 starts and 24 appearances last year, his first season in MLS. The Japanese-born Krolicki was picked 53rd overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
Montreal opens its season on Saturday in San Jose, Calif.
