Argentina defeats Jordan 3-1 to finish first in Group J with three wins in as many matches.

Sasa Kalajdzic of Austria scores in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time to salvage a 3-3 draw against Algeria and advance to the World Cup knockout round.

11:55 p.m

Riyad Mahrez scores his second goal of the match, three minutes into second-half stoppage time, to give Algeria a 3-2 lead over Austria.

Lionel Messi comes off the bench and scores in the 80th minute to give Argentina a 3-1 lead over Jordan.

The final two matches of the World Cup’s group stage round are just minutes away from kicking off. Argentina leads Group J with two wins in as many matches, Austria and Algeria each has a win and a loss, and Jordan is 0-2. Austria has scored three goals and allowed three, while Algeria has scored twice and given up four goals.

Colombia and Portugal finish in a scoreless draw, while DR Congo beats Uzbekistan 3-1. Colombia finishes first in Group K with two wins and a draw, while Portugal has a win and two draws. DR Congo has a win, draw and loss, and Uzbekistan finishes with three losses.

Croatia took a 1-0 lead into halftime against Ghana thanks to a Petar Sucic goal in the 31st minute.

Canada coach Jesse Marsch says star captain Alphonso Davies will be ready to play in the team’s round of 32 matchup against South Africa on Sunday in Los Angeles. Marsch initially said he expected Davies to play in the country’s group-stage finale against Switzerland in Vancouver last Wednesday, but did not bring him off the bench and later said he used the talent as a “decoy” to disrupt the Swiss, who ultimately won the game 2-1.
