All of Thursday’s match broadcasts at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto’s City Hall, have been cancelled due to an extreme heat forecast. The temperature is expected to soar to 35 degrees Celsius with the humidity making it feel like 46.

10:10 p.m.

Malik Tillman added a goal in the 82nd minute as the undermanned United States beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 in their Round of 32 match. Folarin Balogun had opened scoring in the 45th minute for the Americans but he was sent off with a red card at the 64th minute.

8:55 p.m.

Folarin Balogun scored in the 45th minute to give the United States a 1-0 lead over Bosnia and Herzegovina at half time. It was Balogun’s third goal of the tournament.

8 p.m.

Play is underway at San Francisco Stadium as the United States plays Bosnia and Herzegovina in their Round of 32 match. The U.S. is heavily favoured in the knockout stage showdown.

Youri Tielemans scored the game-winning goal six minutes into injury time in extra time as Belgium defeats Senegal 3-2. Tielemans converted on a penalty kick for his second goal of the game. Belgium will next face the winner between the United States and Bosnia-Herzegovina in the round of 16.

The first half of extra time has ended with Belgium and Senegal in a 2-2 tie.

Senegal and Belgium are going to extra time. Senegal took a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute with Ismaila Sarr’s goal. But Belgium pulled even late with an 86th minute goal from substitute forward Romelu Lukaku and Youri Tieleman’s score in the 89th minute.

Senegal takes a 1-0 edge into halftime against Belgium thanks to Habib Diarra’s goal in the 25th minute.

4 p.m.

The round-of-32 match between Senegal and Belgium has began in Seattle.

England has advanced to the round of 16 with a 2-1 win over Congo. After trailing 1-0 at halftime, Harry Kane scored in the 75th and 86th minutes to lift his country to victory. England will next face Mexico.
