STRASBOURG, France (AP) — United States midfielder Gio Reyna scored for Strasbourg against Paris Saint-Germain in the French league on Saturday.
Reyna broke the deadlock in the 17th minute with a low shot that took a slight deflection past Matvey Safonov in the PSG goal.
It was enough for the home team to lead at halftime, but PSG replied with three goals after the break to win 3-1.
The 23-year-old Reyna was making his seventh league appearance for Strasbourg after joining the team from German side Borussia Mönchengladbach in the offseason. He scored in a 6-2 win at Troyes last month.
PSG coach Luis Enrique rested several key players before sending them on in the second half. PSG faces his old team Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.
