Valour FC failed to pick up three points against the last-place team in the Canadian Premier League.
Winnipeg’s professional soccer team tied HFX Wanderers FC in Halifax on Saturday afternoon as neither team was able to find the back of the net. The Wanderers sit in the basement of the CPL’s fall season standings with a 2-6-5 record, as they have a league-low eight goals scored. Valour, who outshot Halifax 14-10 in the match, are now 4-6-4 after Saturday’s scoreless tie. Valour has been held off the scoresheet four times in the fall season.
Valour goalie and Winnipeg native Tyson Farago and Halifax’s Christian Oxner both had six saves in the match. Winnipeggers Marco Bustos, Tyler Attardo, Dylan Carreiro, Ali Musse and Raphael Ohin started the match for Valour.
Valour will remain on the road for their next match, as they’ll head to Calgary to take on Cavalry FC on Oct. 2.
