17-year-old girl slain in Mosakahiken Cree Nation

RCMP are investigating after a 17-year-old girl was killed in Mosakahiken Cree Nation early Tuesday morning.

Moose Lake RCMP were called to a home on Stagg Crescent in the community over a report of an injured person at about 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday, where they found the girl and pronounced her dead.

Police are investigating her death as a homicide. No arrests have been announced.
