Fire has damaged a Redwood Avenue house for the third time in less than a year.
Crews were sent to the vacant, boarded-up house on the 400 block of Redwood Avenue at 1:02 p.m. Wednesday and declared the fire under control at 1:36 p.m.
Damage was contained to one suite in the two-storey, multi-family home in a fire early on Nov. 14, when people were living there.
Neighbours were evacuated as a precaution when firefighters extinguished a fire in the house on Dec. 16. It appears the house was not boarded up at the time but no occupants were there, the City of Winnipeg said in a news release at the time.
