Arrests after man held against will in Dauphin

Six people were arrested after a seriously injured man was found during a well-being check at a Dauphin residence and said he was being held against his will.

RCMP were sent to an address on 6th Avenue Northeast on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Officers found the victim, a 29-year-old man, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Six people — five males and one female — were arrested at the scene.

A search warrant was later executed at the residence and more than 78 grams of methamphetamine, eight grams of cocaine, firearms and cash were seized.

Seven people were charged with numerous weapons and trafficking offences. All were remanded into custody.
