Avril Lavigne will mark 25 years as a performing artist with a worldwide tour that stops at Winnipeg’s Canada Life Centre on Sept. 14.
Tickets go on sale Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.ca, however there are several presales scheduled to begin as early as Jan. 23. Prices weren’t announced.
Lavigne’s performing career started with a bang in 1999, performing alongside Shania Twain in Ottawa after winning a radio-station contest. Lavigne’s solo career took off in 2002 with the hits “Complicated” and “Sk8er Boi,” two pop-punk anthems that will be a big part of her greatest-hits tour in 2024.
Power-pop groups Simple Plan and Girlfriends are also on the bill.
