Bell MTS internet and TV services restored after afternoon outage

Bell MTS is reporting its internet and TV services have been completely restored after a widespread outage.

The outages began Monday afternoon and impacted users across Manitoba.

At 5:40 p.m., a Bell MTS spokesperson said all services impacted by the outage should now be back online.

The spokesperson advised any customers still experiencing issues to reboot their internet modems or TV receivers by unplugging the units and then plugging them back in after a few minutes.

Bell MTS did not say what caused the outages.

“We continue to investigate and thank customers for their patience,” the spokesperson said.

The outages are the latest in a series of interruptions Bell MTS users have experienced this year. The service provider previously pointed to inclement weather and a lack of technicians as contributing to the problem.
