ST. LOUIS — There will be a winner-takes-all Game 7 at Canada Life Centre on Sunday night.

The seventh and deciding game is required because the Jets were unable to close out the St. Louis Blues, dropping a 5-2 decision on Friday night at Enterprise Center.

The home team has won all six games in the series so far — and the Jets will be hoping that trend continues, otherwise this storybook season will come to an end.

Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 23 shots on goal — including four in just over five minutes during the second period — and was pulled for the third time in the series.

Cole Perfetti and Nino Niederreiter scored power-play goals for the Jets.

Jets centre Mark Scheifele was unavailable due to an undisclosed injury, but forward Nikolaj Ehlers made his series debut and finished with three shots on goal and eight shot attempts.
